Sporting Clays

Metedeconk National Golf Club offers a unique experience for our members and guests to enjoy the wonderful sport of Sporting Clays in the off-season.  Sporting clays is a form of clay pigeon shooting, often described as "golf with a shotgun" because a typical course includes different shooting stations laid out over natural terrain.

Metedeconk has a challenging 9 station course set on 35 beautiful pineland acres adjacent to our 10th hole.  Each station offers different challenges and views for the beginner to the most advanced sportsman.  Each station presents targets from trap machines. Unlike trap and skeet, which are games of repeatable target presentations, sporting clays simulates the unpredictability of live-quarry shooting, offering a great variety of trajectories, angles, speeds, elevations, distances, and target sizes.

For those beginners, we offer expert instructors who provide all the equipment  and instructions to make your day special and memorable.  So whether your a twosome, foursome or multiple groups, come out and experience a new sport that is sure to capture your competitive spirit.  Our expert staff can arrange a complete day for you and your guests consisting of breakfast, lunch or dinner and overnight accommodations for that special event.
